This Privacy Policy describes your privacy rights regarding collection, use, storage, sharing and protection of your personal information. It applies to the gagnav.com website and all related connected domains (further referenced as the website) owned by me and all the services provided regardless of how you access or use them.

 

When you use the website, contact me and/or conduct any business with me you agree with this privacy policy. Unless otherwise discussed and agreed between two parties (you and me).

You - a user of the website, person or organisation I conduct business with. Personal information - information that makes you personally identifiable. e.g. your name, address, phone number. Sensitive information - information which is highly personal e.g. your email accounts' username and password and other personal details e.g. health details. Note: Cookies and IP addresses are not making you personally identifiable for the website or hosting owner. Cookies and IPs are used to identify your device not personally you. However, in certain circumstances this information will be enough to identify you. For example, your Internet provider may identify you by your public IP address.
What kind of information is being collected about you

When you access the website your device's public IP address is being recorded, along with the device details such as the Operating System, browser details (User Agent) and date & time the page is requested. All your activities are being logged on the server side. This is absolutely necessary data on the technical level to provide you access to the website.

 

In case you contact me your name, email address, phone number and Skype name may also be kept. It also may be required that you provide sensitive information like your existing domain and/or hosting account usernames and passwords, access to business email accounts and all the other kind of accounts that will be necessary to provide you with the appropriate services. In some other cases I will create/buy hosting, email, domain accounts or some other accounts necessary to conduct business on your behalf. Therefore, I may have access to your personal accounts. This is necessary to provide you with website and application development services.

 

You are not required to disclose your real name while contacting me. However, you should always contact me under the same credentials so you will be clearly identifiable. In some limited circumstances you may be required to disclose your real name and some additional details to me e.g. your address, birthday, some financial information and so on. In this case a detailed reason will be provided why is that necessary to provide those details (e.g integration of payment systems and/or obtaining EV SSL certificate). You have right to not provide these details. However, in that case providing some specific services may be impossible.

 

This privacy policy is being periodically updated, it is your responsibility to always checkout the latest privacy policy. The latest privacy policy is always available on the website. The modification date is always provided so you can differentiate if any changes were made. If your are a customer you may be notified about significant changes by email.

The website uses cookies in order to provide you with personalised services. Cookie is a small text file placed by websites to your computer in order to make your browser uniquely identifiable. Cookies are required for proper operation of the website, turning off the cookies will make the site inaccessible for you.

In case if you do not have your own hosting environment (in the most cases you do not), it may be necessary to host your website/application using a third party hosting service. If this is the case the hosting provider also will have access to your business email accounts, website files and databases (if applicable). Although I may provide you with advice and/or buy domain names and hosting on your behalf, it is your responsibility to be aware of the privacy policy of the particular hosting provider that you want to use.

 

If you would like to avoid your device being identifiable by Cookies, marketing and/or statistics services you may consider using private browsing mode (consult your browser manual for more details) . Moreover, if you would like to hide your real IP address you may consider using proxy or VPN services. You may also wish using the tor browser bundle www.torproject.org which may solve your all concerns at once.

With whom your personal information is being shared

Your personal information is confidential. It is not being sold or shared with any third party, unless I have explicit permissions granted by you, for example, to provide you with a service that you have requested. Or in circumstances outlined by law (e.g. court warrant).

How do I make sure that your personal and sensitive information is secure

All my devices are password protected and only accessible by me, with full hard disk encryption to make sure that no one can gain unauthorised access to the data even if they have physical access to the devices. All the backups on the removable and cloud storages are also encrypted. Antivirus software along with advanced network firewalls are in use to make sure your data security and integrity.

How you can access or change your personal information

You may request change of your personal information at any time in writing, by email. You need to quote your unique customer token/code. If there is any suspicion that your token was compromised, I may take additional steps to identify you e.g. by phone call or text.

Complaints

If you have any concern or complaint how is your privacy being handled please get in touch with me.

I will try to:

  1. Acknowledge receipt of all complaints within 7 business days.
  2. Resolve all complaints within 50 days. This may not be possible in all circumstances.

Where I cannot resolve a complaint within 50 days, I will notify you of the reason for the delay as well as an indication of when I expect to resolve the complaint.
